Evolution—humans have been evolving for tens of thousands of years. We have involved into hunters gatherers, we’ve learned mathematics, and we have created tools to help us eat and make everyday tasks simpler. But, we were not ready for the Internet. For example, when in human history have we been able to see such stimulation without even moving? In early man it would take maybe a year to see the time stimulation and the type of movement that an internet user can get in a week or even a day.
Rivers were exciting. The trees blowing was stimulating. Seeing an animal was one of the most exciting things you could be a part of as an early man. Now we can get everything we need out of the computers. like a flood stimulus. Similar to that of a more conventional drug. When A person uses a recreational drug like cocaine or even marijuana the chemicals in the brain are flooded. The dopamine levels rise and are washed away no longer to return . Your body decides that it does not want to produce a chemical that it is unnaturally being produced in your body. That is really smart for a body, Because your body can save that energy and start releasing things that it needs to produce on it’s own more efficiently. Similarly, our brains are being flooded with the stimuli and it takes A very long time in order to start producing the same type of A natural high foreseeing less stimuli. It may take up to a year of the low stimulus lifestyle in order to even remotely come close to receiving the stimuli like early man.
Since we are assessed with receiving the stimuli and we receive the stimuli every single day it becomes a huge issue for us in our lives. Because in order to receive a high
The fact that we are adapting so well says a lot about our society. But I will tell you that I do not think that we should adapt. It goes against everything that I understand and believe to think that something that we have not done for thousands of years we should be doing. We should not be eating pizza we should not be eating processed foods, we should not be consumed with our Internet, and we should not numb ourselves to everything around us.
We must receive even more stimuli then we are receiving every day which turns into problems. This is why many people have pornography addiction because they’re receiving so much stimuli in the brain must be so overstimulated all the time that watching pornography for multiple hours a night becomes a great outlet of her seeming more stimuli and getting that hot from receiving all that stimulus.
How to combat this receive more stimuli during the day. Get outside, getting in the world, and see what the worlds all about.
Addiction is no joke. It’s can send the lives of countless people. Many people in my life have been uprooted by the strength of this disease. Because, like previously mentioned, Our minds and our bodies are not ready for this type stimulation. We were used to much simpler time or stimulation came in much shorter amounts. Now we have these amazing 3-D effects and graphics that blow your mind initially however we come to expect it and we can watch a movie now without it.
Is this a problem?
This is a problem because we’re missing out on the human experience. We’re missing out on how sweet that grapefruit really tastes, And how beautiful your daughter smile really is, and how funny your grandpa can be when he mistakenly walks into the screen door.
Now we want things bigger and better than ever, But it would expense. I personally am not willing to sacrifice my name experience to substance to sensational is the media or any other thing that I have not been a part of and my answers have not been a part of. Think about how far and how hard demanding his work to become the people that we are and are we going to turn around and start going backwards. Really, what we have is the ability to change the future generations we are deciding what they are going to be and what they are going to be like. The technologies that we have we can have to do better for the worst, But really it comes down to how much we want to love one another and how much we just want to love ourselves.
